About me
In Mike’s 25+ years as a professional educator, he has had multiple experiences working with and presenting for pre-service teachers, para-educators, substitute teachers, classroom teachers, instructional facilitators, school board members, and administrators. Mike has delivered professional development courses for educators across the US as part of the US Math Recovery Council. He also has developed and implemented sessions at many professional conferences over the last 15 years. Mike has a varied professional background as a para-educator, classroom teacher, interventionist, math coach, principal, and professional development specialist. This experience has allowed him to relate and present information from multiple viewpoints for varied audiences. Mike holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Wyoming, and he is certified by the State of Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with endorsements in Early Childhood (Birth – Age 8), Elementary Education (K-6), and Principal (K-12). Mike has been an employee of US Math Recovery for the last nine years, working with districts and educators worldwide to empower educators to improve mathematics instruction.
