About me
Lindsey Greer is a 6th grade math teacher at Phenix City Intermediate School and is in her 13th year of teaching. Currently she serves as the department chair for 6th grade math and as the co-chair of the school’s mathematics team. Lindsey also serves as the chairperson for Relay for Life and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports for her school. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Troy University, is certified by the National Institute for STEM Education, and is a trainer for the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative. Other than teaching mathematics, Lindsey is passionate about incorporating technology use in the classroom. She received the prestigious Chiquita Marbury Award for the state of Alabama for being an innovative educator with technology. She was also selected as a Curriculum Associate's Extraordinary Educator in 2024. One of the things that pushed Lindsey to education was her lack of good teachers growing up. She always felt there had to be someone better to educate the kids of the future, so she decided to become one. When not in the classroom, she serves alongside the youth at her church, where she uses her talents as a teacher to engage students in their walk with the Lord. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her two beautiful daughters who she absolutely adores.
