You will explore how coaches can support teachers and how teachers can empower students by making explicit connections between the Alabama Mathematical Teaching Practices and Students’ Mathematical Practices. You will explore a framework and tools designed to support teachers and coaches as they shift toward more effective teaching practices, and then monitor the extent that such teaching practices impact students’ opportunities to engage in and develop mathematical practices.
