Objective: To equip educators with comprehensive strategies and practical tools for effectively teaching the mathematical modeling cycle in Mathematical Modeling from the Alabama Course of Study Mathematics. This presentation will provide an overview of the modeling cycle, demonstrate instructional techniques, and offer hands-on activities of real world problems to enhance students' understanding and application of the mathematical modeling cycle. Discussions to include differentiated instruction & the Gradual Release Model.
Target Audience: Middle and high school mathematics teachers, curriculum developers, and instructional coaches involved in implementing the Alabama Math Modeling course.
