DragginMath is a virtual manipulative app that converts equations into interactive pictures. See the relationships between the symbols of an equation presented explicitly in simple diagrams. Then solve them: commute, associate, distribute, factor, simplify, invert, evaluate, and more just by dragging math around on the screen. Fun, but not a toy. This is a great classroom demo tool. It is also a safe and expansive playground for your students that does not require your immediate presence. And it doesn't do the thinking for them.
